14th Millport
Country & Western Festival
29th—31st August 2008

Millport - Isle of Cumbrae - Scotland
Festival Enquiries: email Mags Weir or Andrea McLachan
Millport will this year host its 14th Country and Western Weekend.

This is the Isle of Cumbrae which is 10.5 miles in circumference. Although 4-wheeled (as opposed to 4-legged) transport is acceptable, cycle-power is the norm! There are restaurants, shops, guest houses and cafes - The Ritz, in particular, sells "The best ice cream in Scotland." The island is also home to the smallest cathedral, the narrowest house, the Marine Biological Museum and the celebrated Crocodile Rock.

Running from 31st August — 2nd September 2007, the weekend will consist of live bands, line dancing, a massive street parade, bucking bronco, shoot outs and much much more! The main venue is local town hall which over the weekend will be known as 'Cactus Jacks' and there will be live bands including Carson City, Greyhound Express, Toe the Line and Lemon Grass... and its all FREE!

Local pubs will also have their own entertainment including music and dancing as well as C&W dj's.

There will be a campsite available with 'rough camping' for the brave folks who wish to brave it! The campsite will also be free so there's no need to book!

If you wish to be part of the parade please contact Andrea McLachlan on 01475 530276/07966447702 or email andreasgifts@post.com
